The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell

Impressive historical fiction and creepy dolls, but it didn't totally land with me. I wasn't sure the narrator had strong enough motivations to push the plot along. I did enjoy the development of her friendship with the other female lead! That was the most satisfying part of the book.
